alright, so still no baby unfortunately. I went back to the doctor's this afternoon and I am still at 2-3 cm dilated and 50% effaced, which i had expected but hoped wouldn't be the case. Like I said awhile ago, I just have a feeling she will be in there until we force her out. Even though I don't know why, poor little thing looks and feels so cramped in there. Dave's been giving her pep talks to coax her out, she hasn't listened so far. I am getting "contractions" and I say it that way because I know I am getting them, however they don't hurt so thats just not what I have in my mind as a contraction. I can feel my belly get really tight to the touch, but there is no pain associated with them...yet. The doctor says they are real, but just weak, contractions since thats the cause of dilation/effacement. She stripped my membranes again, but i doubt it will work since it didn't last week. I weigh 133 (+22 lbs) so hopefully I will be able to stay away from crossing over into the 140's. When she was checking me, the doctor said she could feel hair on Alyssa's head...crazy how she can tell that and just the fact that she was touching her head is crazy as well!
There is absolutely nothing new now, just waiting and more waiting. Everything is completely ready for her and Dave and I are both pretty bored so we want her here to keep us company. One nice thing though is getting some time alone with Dave before the baby is born. He finished his last flight last Tuesday and is officially finished with flight school! Most of his classmates are standing watch most days as their 'job' until they wing and move but luckily Dave doesn't have to since the baby is so close to being here. They are letting him stay home with me instead of making us deal with him being away when I go into labor. Luckily the senior marine was out of the office and he talked to a high up Navy guy who approved this.
Everyone keep your fingers crossed that Alyssa makes her appearance early, I am so tired of being huge and pregnant and we just want to meet our little girl!

Havent heard from you in a bit so I figured Alyssa was working hard on getting to meet you guys!...I know you are disappointed that she hasnt yet but I think she is waiting til her little nails are pretty and she is just the right weight and looks her very best before she makes her debut..relax with Dave and get as much rest as you can now..it will pay off trust me..tell Dave Congrats for me on finishin his training...see you and the family soon!...been dreamin lots about holding my little grandaughter!!!..cant wait to see those baby pea pod toes and kiss her little cheeks!
I was waiting on the update yesterday...Then, when it wasn't up by the time I left work (I'm not going to lie) I got really excited and thought maybe there had been some progress and you were at the hospital. :( Two weeks max, but hopefully she will be here before then! xoxo
Looks like shes going to be hairy like the rest of the family!! I mean between dave and our genes she had no chance...poor thing!
